Last year 21-year-old Sean Rumsey made it through to the finals of X-Factor with the band Futureproof. Since then, the Warwickshire student has signed up with leading model agency Adage. Here he shares his innermost fashion secrets

1:  When you need to feel great, which item of clothing do you reach for? Firstly its all about the shoes for me; a fresh, stylish, comfortable pair of shoes always gives me that feel-good factor, whether I'm going out clubbing, gigging or just out in general. Also have to say that my Calvin Klein underwear gives me that feel good factor too.

2: What is your biggest fashion faux pas? I haven't had one of those since my mum dressed me; at least I hope not.

3: What does "style" mean to you? Style is a reflection of you and an expression of how you feel.

4: What is the most embarrassing CD in your collection? Unfortunately I do own a copy of the Backstreet Boys' Greatest Hits.

5: Describe the best night out in Birmingham? Chilling in Mechu or The Custard Factory. The best nights are usually the more spontaneous ones; the company you are with definitely makes those moments come to life.

6: What would you say to people who think Birmingham is lacking in style? Birmingham has a unique sense of style and character; it may not be seen to always be commercial but its that uniqueness and individuality that makes it stand out, that speaks volumes.

7:  Which celebrity would be your dream date? Kelly Brooke ... she's hot!

8: What are your guilty pleasures? I am partial to a chocolate binge.

9: When it comes to shopping in Birmingham, where do you splurge and where do you save? To get my favourite gear I shop at Harvey Nichols, to save I go to Primark.

10: What's your top fashion tip? It's not what you wear its how you wear it. Feel good, look good.
