Shoes go all lady-like for the new season, with sky-high heels and Miss Jean Brody lace-ups. Black continues to dominate, but you'll also find other striking colour combinations to make your feet the envy of fashionistas. Also, check out great leathers and patents, with mock croc detailing at the fore. Here, Style Birmingham picks its favourite shoes on the high street to match all budgets.

1: From Red Herring, go for a choice of patents and at £25 each you could treat yourself to all three pairs. From Debenhams.

2: Bring out the sex kitten in you with these Mary Jane court shoes. From Agent Provocateur, they come in sleek black or red claret patent leather and are perfect for bedroom or boardroom. Priced at £119 from Selfridges.

3: For retro chic, these nude square platform shoe are just perfect. They cost £35 from Dorothy Perkins.

4: These satin trimmed platform shoes are a steal at £15, from the Primark and in store now.

5: From Kurt Geiger, these striking lace-up courts feature patent and suede detailing. Priced at £120, you'll find them at the Kurt Geiger store in Bullring, Selfridges and House of Fraser.

6: Label lovers won't be able to resist these peep-toe heels from Alexander McQueen, at £330. Available from Harvey Nichols.

7: From the 1930s Icons selection at Faith, these red mock croc patents are a great addititon to your winter wardrobe.

8: For a bargain buy with a vintage edge, these town shoes are just £14 from Matalan. The pretty ribbon lace is a great trend for this season.

9: Picking up on last winter's designer craze, these black patent shoe boots are £25 from M& ... very SJP.

10: Very school ma'am – these grey suede lace-ups are from Wallis and cost £45.
